During the ramp-up of a new project for VVS I was tasked with creating a live streaming bag that was capable of giving us a view from the player’s perspective and a capture of their device. This allowed us to see a player’s intentions while playing our prototypes. The bag featured moderator-to-player communication, remote control over the device if necessary, and near-realtime livestreaming with only a 2-3 second delay back to the moderators.

The tech was beneficial enough to the success of VVS’ products that it eventually broke off and became it’s own company, Live Aware Labs, which provides player research services for one of the top mobile game companies in the world.
